The Book of Books was launched in the public domain 2,500 years ago as a revolutionary, strategic and surprising venture. Ever since that day the Bible has become the cornerstone of Judaism. Yet in recent generations most people of the book have little or no knowledge of what the book is really all about. These were not the intentions of its original creators. (And no, it wasn't Moses.)
Contributing author to Reboot’s Unscrolled, Lau-Lavie reinterprets and re-reads the birth of the Bible as a bold, compelling and useful model towards better balance between the inherited legacies and modern claims, personal growth, social justice and communal care.
Amichai Lau-Lavie is an Israeli born writer, teacher, and artist. He is the founder of the Storahtelling Ritual Theater Company and the spiritual leader of Lab/Shul NYC.
*With deep appreciation to the Koret Foundation for supporting Unscrolled in the Bay Area, and to the Jim Joseph Foundation for supporting Reboot programs throughout the year.
