Spin the dreidel and think about Hanukkah in a “new light” at the Reboot Shop Hanukkah Pop-Up, open Thursday, Nov. 30 through Sunday, Dec. 3. Get a jump on your shopping and festivities with a holiday bazaar of unique Hanukkah gifts and a spin on holiday traditions. 

The Great Hanukkah Debate - author Ayelet Waldman and comedian Heather Gold will throw down their arguments against Hanukkah and its rituals in a parliamentary-style debate with filmmaker Tiffany Shlain and Rabbi Sydney Mintz of Congregation Emanu-El defending the holiday.

Glow in the dark dance party with live music by The Four Flames, featuring Dan Lebowitz, dreidel gaming and a special “Screaming Latke” Hanukkah cocktail by author Daniel Handler, aka “Lemony Snicket.” 

Sneak peek of a new short film by Emmy-nominated filmmakers Shlain and Ken Goldberg, “The Whole Cinemagillah," set to be released in 2018. Mah Jongg Drop-in & Tea Party with Sara Levy Linden’s Mahj Club. 

Children’s activities daily, including Lego menorah making and Hanukkah “Give Light” keychain craft. Special events with children’s book reading and signing by author and illustrator J. Otto Seibold of Olive the Other Reindeer, Monkey Business, the popular Mr. Lunch series and more. Watch your little ones go wild with delight as they sing, dance, act out stories and more at the special free JCCSF Pop-Ups: KinderBoogie in the store.
