San Francisco: Unscrolled at Oneg Shabbat

Join Reboot on July 12 for a special Unscrolled activity at Oneg Shabbat - Saturday Unpluuged at the JCCSF. Come for the play date, stay for the live music. Unplug and meet up with family and friends for a screen-free afternoon of fun activities and celebratory cocktails. Conclude the day with Havdalah, a sweet send-off for Shabbat and a welcome to the new week. Each week features a family-friendly concert and a new adventure. Check to see upcoming schedules, from Tree Frog Treks to Food Demos to Happy Hour Specials.

Join Reboot to Unscroll the Tabernacle. In the book of Exodus, God gives the Israelites instructions for his tabernacle, a movable dwelling holding the Ark of the Covenant.

In Reboot’s new book Unscrolled, in which artists and writers interpret sections of the Torah, Architect Marc Kushner reimagines the tabernacle and drops it into the middle of New York on its side, making it vertical so it would be visible in the skyline. Reimagine the tabernacle yourself -- with graham crackers, frosting and candies. Build together as a family and consider how it relates to your own community and surroundings.

*Unscrolled is supported by the Jewish Community Federation and Endowment Fund. The Koret Foundation and the Jim Joseph Foundation are the main supporters of Reboot programs in the Bay Area.
